Doha Bank India Card Control App – Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
As per RBI circular dated January 15, 2020 on Enhancing Security of Card Transactions, Debit Cards issued to customers including new, reissued, renewed or upgraded cards, will be enabled for Domestic ATM and Point of Sale (POS)/physical transactions only. The cards will be disabled for Online and International, transactions to protect against fraud.
In addition, if customers have not used their existing card for online or international, transactions in the last 3 months (including cards issued or new accounts opened during this period), usage for these purposes will be mandatorily disabled. However, the limits can be setup and the usage can be enabled for any disabled transaction by simply logging into Doha Bank Card Control App. They can also set the daily usage limit for ATM, POS and Online transactions.
Doha Bank card control application is a secure mobile application on the android & IOS platform designed for Doha Bank customers to control their Debit card features like transaction type, transaction limits & Blocking/Unblocking 24X7 instantly from the comfort of one’s smartphone.
Following controls are available with Doha Bank Application:
- Switch the card On/Off (Temporary – Activation/Deactivation).
- Set a daily Domestic/International transaction limit in Rupees for ATM, POS & Online (E-com).
- Allow/Disallow Domestic/International transactions for specific channels such as ATM /POS/ Online (E-com).
- Permanent blocking of card*.
* Card permanently blocked cannot be reactivated. For reissue of new card please contact Branch/Contact centre.
Yes, you need a mobile internet/ GPRS data plan activated through your telecom operator on your mobile phone to download Doha Bank Card Control application.
After Doha Bank application is successfully installed on your mobile phone you need to complete a one-time registration process. Use your customer id and the registered mobile number with Doha Bank to generate an OTP. Key in the OTP received on your registered mobile and validate. Once the OTP has been validated the application ask you to set a secure six digit PIN of your choice. Choose your PIN and re- enter the same PIN to register.
On logging-in to the Card Control application, Debit cards issued (Active/Inactive) to the customer will be displayed. Customer will be able to access cards displayed below active tab. Tab on card and will get options to Switch the card On/Off, Set a daily transaction limit, allow/Disallow transactions for specific channels.

As per the regulatory guidelines, debit card linked NRO account are not eligible for any type of International transactions. Hence these options are disabled for NRO debit cards.
Yes, you can use Doha Bank India Card Control application from anywhere in the world by using internet connection on your mobile phone.
You can reset the PIN through Forgot PIN option on home screen.
You can download the Doha Bank Card Control Application from Play Store or IOS on your new device and login with the existing credentials. In case you face issues while login in, you can use Forgot 6-digit MPIN option to re-register yourself.
